Create Space for Healing

Art Therapy and Psychotherapy

The process is one of curiosity and compassion. The space is sacred.

It is my belief that with support and opportunities for self-expression all of us can grow into healthier, happier, more connected individuals. I integrate somatic and creative interventions with talk therapy to provide clients with opportunities for increased self-awareness, emotional resilience, and self-compassion. My approach is holistic; believing that mind/body/spirit and past/present/future are inextricably linked. Therapy is a journey we embark on together with an attitude of compassion and curiosity. The process will be guided by your needs. Sessions are offered in-person or via tele-therapy.

IMG_2488.jpg

Enhanced Wellbeing

Being creative can lead to greater joy, calm, clarity, self-discovery, and self-acceptance.

Mindfulness Practice

Tuning into the senses is an inherent part of being creative. Practicing mindful presence has been proven to decrease anxiety and depression.

Cultivating Curiosity

No art experience is needed,  just a willingness to stay curious, explore, and build self-compassion

Trauma Healing

Art therapy offers the opportunity to release what’s held in the body, leading to greater nervous system regulation and healing. Words alone are often not enough.

Navigating Grief

A supportive space for intense emotions, as well as an opportunity to honor those you've lost.

Creating Community

Art therapy groups and creative workshops provide a safe space for authentic connection.

Testimonials

“Working with Shannon has helped me see my life experiences with so much more perspective. My inner critic is a lot less loud these days, thankfully!”
